A vivid exploration of identity, belief, and the complexities of personal freedom.
A Ricochet Theatre: Bulletpoints Showcase production, staged at Contact Theatre, Manchester.
Morenike is caught between two worlds: gospel hymns thundering from her mother’s prayer meetings downstairs, and the secrets she hides in her bedroom upstairs. When faith, family, sex, and identity collide, she finds herself wrestling with what it means to love, to believe, and to call out His name — on her own terms.
Witty, daring, and unflinchingly honest, His Name is a bold one-woman play that asks: how do you reconcile desire with devotion, and where do you find yourself when the answers don’t fit neatly into scripture?
